Online & In-person family counseling in Atlanta and throughout Georgia
Are you trying to create a family unit that feels safe for everyone and has open lines of communication?
Do you feel like your family’s needs sometimes adjust and change too fast for you to keep up?
Are you trying everything you know to do, and a lot of times it feels like it’s just not enough?
Is your family experiencing:
Divorce?
Separation?
A recent move?
Lifestyle changes?
“Merging families?”
A recent traumatic event?
A rough patch in communication?
We take a specialized approach to family therapy that’s specifically focused on strengthening the bond that already exists and addressing the things that can feel too big or uncomfortable to talk about alone. Our family therapists provide your family with “take-home” skills to try in real-world settings, communication skills that disarm defensiveness, and space for your family to grow. Whether you’re trying to just provide a healthy foundation, build a healthy blended family, or work through the things we can’t take back or ignore, we can help you create the healthy family everyone deserves.

Our approach to family therapy
We want to hear from everyone! We work to hear everyone’s experiences, feelings, and thoughts, and create a plan that is unique to your family and its needs. Our goal is to create a pathway that creates healthy and loving connections now and 20, 30 years into the future as your family continues to move through different phases and places. We work to remain solution-focused, understanding, and healing from the past, and making room for the new.
Is family therapy the right choice?
If you want to:
Build family-wide skills and tools to manage the big moments and emotions
Build better communication skills
Re-connect in loving and healthy ways
Avoid further pathways that lead to avoidance or anger
Family therapy might be the right fit for you.
I have some questions about family therapy
How long is the process of family therapy?
No one can make any promises on the timeline for you and your family, as each family comes in with unique and specific circumstances. However, we typically see noticeable improvement within 3-6 months in families who engage in therapeutic suggestions and meet regularly.
Are family therapists specialists?
Yes! It requires very specific education and training to effectively work with family dynamics, which are significantly different from one-on-one dynamics. Our family therapists work hard to always remain up to date on the best practices and have several additional certifications in family therapy approaches that best support you and your family’s needs.
Is it required that everyone has their own individual therapist?
In a perfect world, we would love for everyone to have their own space to work through individual struggles and their process of healing. However, we recognize that the world is incredibly busy, and so are you. We support families who have the goal of healing, improving communication, and moving past the hardest moments, and that happens when we all sit down together. However, if you feel that parts of the family would benefit from their individual care, we offer therapy for kids, teens, and the rest of the family!
