Brianna Howard, LCSW, ART Practitioner
Hi, I’m Brianna.
I specialize in therapy for resilience, for overcoming tragedy and trauma. I see children as young as 0-5, teens, and young adults.
I see families who need some help navigating hard events, challenges, or communication difficulties and life changes.
My modalities include Child-Parent Psychotherapy, which is a special kind of therapy for young children (0-5) that helps build the parent/child connection and form healthy attachment from early on.
I also use Accelerated Resolution Therapy–fast resolution to trauma.
I’ve been working with kids for over 20 years now. I want clients to feel comfortable.
Kids feelings are important to me. The goal is to make the kids as comfortable as I can in session.
Therapy with me is…
-
I work hard to give you a safe and comfortable place to process the full range of emotions and experiences.
-
I hear you when you say the hard things. Therapy with me means that I consider everything you tell me, not just the "expected goals."
-
The way I do therapy is heavily based on including you in your treatment. I want you to be bought in just as much as I am. I take special efforts in talking out my thoughts on what therapies I think would be best and hear your feedback on my recommendations.
-
I'm not interested in telling you, "it'll get better as you get older." I want to work with your experiences now, not the possible future ones. By making sure we work together on your stressors of today without minimizing them, we work to create a healthier tomorrow.
