You’ve been told you're too much, mean, manipulative, angry, too sensitive, a great person until you get upset, you’re too in your own head. However, I see you. I see the pain, abandonment, the fear and anxiety, the worry, and the desire for true connection. A lot of it isn’t even yours; it’s just been passed down despite you trying to “return to sender.” You oftentimes don’t even know why you say and do the things you say and do, and typically end up majorly regretting it. You just know that in the moment, things feel life or death, and you wish someone would care enough to calm you down and give you a hug. I want to sit with you and hear your story, your thoughts that maybe don’t see the light of day too often, and sort through the shame of everything that came before. I’ll help you create a life that starts to become more comfortable while honoring the spiciest parts of yourself. We will build tools that reflect who you are and put you closer to the goals you have for your life. You’ll start to make friends with the little gremlin who often times comes up, flips the tables, and leaves you alone to apologize, which results in calmer responses and higher levels of self-worth and safety, even when things get a little rocky.

Therapy for the Perpetually Angry & Emotionally Sensitive

I understand the life of an athlete. I was formerly a D1 Elite Women’s College Rugby Player, and have spent a lifetime within the sports and athletics world. I understand the joy, excitement, and hope that a sport can give you, and I also understand the grief, rage, and disappointment that comes when things don’t go the way we planned. I can help you navigate life both in your sport, out of your sport, and when you’re ready to end your official career with your sport. I’ll help you find new ways of finding a sense of self, looking for purpose within new things, and creating a new community to help push you into your new version of life.

Therapy for Athletes

Do you ever feel like life just isn’t set up for you? Not just in the traditional sense of school and work, but even deeper than that. It can be difficult to make meaningful connections, and it seems like you’re always living life a little differently than anybody else. You know you have so much to offer, but cant find a way that feels true and authentic to you. Sometimes you can feel connected to your body, and other times you’re so disconnected that your body is the last thing that needs to be found. I can help you find ways to access that connection you’ve been looking for, create confidence in what a truly authentic life looks like for you. I’ll sit with you as we process the things, oftentimes we don’t say out loud, and work to create language for self-advocay and emotional freedom.

  • I utilize inner child work and play and art therapies to help build authentic connections to self. If you’re not interested in those types of approaches, I honor that in session and still work with you to find your version of your most healed self.

  • I understand that the world has been mean and tough, there hasn’t been too many soft places to land in this life. I want to sit with you in a safe environment as we explore your story.

  • The way I do therapy is heavily based on including you in your treatment. I want you to be bought in just as much as I am. I take special efforts in talking out my thoughts on what therapies I think would be best and hear your feedback on my recommendations.

  • I want to know the parts that we “don’t say out loud,” the dreams you’ve waited to chase, and the worries that tend to stick around. All parts of you are welcome and encouraged on this journey.
