What can I see a practicum therapist for?
1
What is a practicum therapist?
2
A practicum therapist is a graduate level student, currently completing their clinical hours in order to graduate their program. Oftentimes they’ve completed most, if not all of their pertinent courses and are shifting focus on what their career looks like outside of the classroom. Practicum therapists take great care of your personal needs through weekly supervision, education on the newest treatments, and constant care from a licensed therapist.
Why chose a practicum therapist?
3
Affordable care. Access therapy at a significantly reduced private-pay rate.
Dedicated supervision. Your therapist receives ongoing guidance and consultation from an experienced licensed clinician.
Current training. Practicum therapists are actively learning current approaches and bringing that education directly into their clinical work.
Is low cost therapy right for me?

Seeing a practicum therapist may be a great fit if you're looking for support with anxiety, depression, identity, relationships, life transitions, or other everyday mental health concerns and cost has made therapy difficult to access.
Seeing a practicum therapist may not be the right choice if you’re currently going through any legal proceedings, if you experience higher levels of suicidal ideation, are currently struggling with delusions, points of mania, or other severe mental health symptoms.
