Therapy that…

Trauma-informed therapy for individuals, children, teens, & families

A carnation flower blooming in multiple stages.

On the inside, you’re anxious, disconnected, going through the motions, maybe even unfulfilled.

You’re self-described as “highly self-aware.” You have the knowledge that bad things in life and childhood can cause anxiety, depression, and struggles with communication, but you somehow still can’t seem to figure out how to make sustainable change. You still feel anxiety take over your entire body, the motivation to do the simplest things has left you years ago. Cue the spiral of self-hate and frustration.

Just imagine…

Imagine if you were able to find full mind and body healing. You could access perspectives that were compassionate and understanding to you and your needs. Therapy with us does just that! We work hard to understand not only your background but also your goals, your relationship with self and others, and how you see yourself in the world. We don’t just throw a laundry list of skills and suggestions at you and hope something sticks, we offer expert care that is proven to bring relief and lifelong change.

Atlanta Area Therapist

Are you on yet another search for a therapist? You’ve probably done the work, tried the skills, journaled, prayed, and maybe even did a weekend retreat with some friends who promised some sort of mental transformation. While I can’t promise to be the answer to everything, I can promise to offer a different approach. My primary focus is to get you “back in your body,” no deep breathing required. You and I will go back in time to your biggest hurts, where anxiety ran high, and how you viewed yourself began to change. I’ll help you develop a better understanding of your thoughts, feelings, and emotions, and how to work with them, instead of shoving them into a closet and hoping the deadbolt works. As you work with your emotions, you’ll notice more self-trust, and maybe even more confidence and relief in your day-to-day life. Is that what you’re looking for?

Is life moving at the speed of light, and you’re not sure when and if it’s going to slow down? Life doesn’t come with a manual, and they sure don’t hand out study guides when you start a family, go to college, start or end a career, or face a traumatic event, but still have to go to work on Monday. I can help you create a new “launch pad” for the life you want. I offer a soft and compassionate place to land and help you decide what the next steps are and the skills and tools required to get there. I help families with restoring their peace, teenagers moving to the next part of their journey, and young adults who are looking to create a healthy foundation for the life they’re wanting in 20, 30, or 50 years.

If you tend to find yourself on the outskirts, struggling to find your community, sometimes questioning who you are, oftentimes feeling like you’re misunderstood, or maybe too much, I want us to chat ASAP. I work with those who live a neurodivergent life, athletes- current and former, LGBTQIA+, or who are angry, sad, and hurt, and by that, I mean rage, grief, and sensitivity. I want to know about the times when others have told you, you took it too far. Those little thoughts in your head that sometimes get bigger and cause some trouble? I want to hear those too. I offer a different approach to therapy that offers more creativity, exploration of those who came before you, and sometimes, even a little more fun. I want to sit with you as we work through the grief and pain you carry because of generational trauma and how you can work to create a life that is authentic, free, and comfortable. Whether you want to come in and color, play UNO with your house rules, or scream into the void, I’m here for every step within your therapeutic journey.

If you’re in a season of rebuilding, this space is for you. I work with individuals navigating life after incarceration, trauma, or major transitions. Many people are carrying shame, uncertainty, or quiet questions about who they are now. Some are trying to move forward without being defined by their past. Others are learning how to trust themselves again, which, let’s be honest, isn’t always easy. Together, we create space to untangle what feels heavy, without pressure to have everything figured out. We can talk honestly. We can sit with the hard parts. And yes, sometimes we can even laugh a little, because healing doesn’t have to feel stiff to be real. Therapy with me is steady, collaborative, and human. You don’t have to show up polished. You don’t have to pretend you’re fine. You just have to show up as you are.

You are more than your hardest chapter.
